This tutorial is intended solely for the use of AD2000 aircraft designer. If yo would like futher infromation on this software please visit A.C.T.publishing.com Topic: Selecting a single chain for edit. Goal: Remove/Hide all chains that are not needed. To do this¸ create a new Subassembly and name it "CLR". Try and think of this new subassembly as the clear function on a calculator. The desktop will also work for this CLR function, provided there are no polygons in it. My desktop never seems to be empty though. |
Next step is to find and select the chain you would like to edit. (Do this by locating one of the vertices that makes up the chain. You can find a vertices usually where the chain changes direction.) |

Once you locate the chain and select it,
go into chain edit mode. This will act as a
temporary buffer storing the chain. |

Now select the CLR subassembly.
|
![]() |
On the AD2000 tool bar, find the
Show
buttons and choose the "ALL" button first.
|

Next, make sure the CLR subassembly is selected
and choose the "SEL" button. This should leave you
with a single chain in the graphic editor.
Now, you will be able to see the
profile/section templates
for easy chain alignment to them.
